with flexible working hours, depending on projects and events.
Compensatory time may be available in accordance with HR rules for
this job class.

Division. Candidates applying for this role will become part of a
team that is committed to developing best practices for all of CT
Law Enforcement Officers; utilizing our resources, talents,
leadership abilities and experiences. Field Program Consultants
have the distinguished honor to serve our Law Enforcement Units and
Law Enforcement Officers by:
- Coordinating in-service classes, researching new laws and best
practices, preparing and submitting training requests for
proposal;
- Coordinating Instructor development and supervisor programs to
teach leadership skills beyond the classroom setting;
- Managing the Instructor certification process to include
regulation compliance, field audits and curriculum
development;
- Developing, charting and navigating a program or course to lead
Law Enforcement Units through the Accreditation process ensuring
best practices and compliance with new accreditation laws;
- Ensuring police officer, instructor and training schools follow
regulations and Connecticut General Statutes;
- Investigating police revocation requests submitted by the CEO
of Law Enforcement Units, conducting compliance hearings in
compliance with the revocation/decertification process with
recommendations to the Academy Administrator;
- Coordinating and assisting with the Accreditation training and
assessor teams, to include POSTC CALEA and CONN-PAC;
- Ensuring POSTC regulation and statutory compliance for
in-service and Satellite Academies;
- Researching, developing and updating policies and programs that
open communication between law enforcement, communities,
stakeholders;
- Interacting and working with many members of government
agencies, public and private sectors to include but not limited to
attorneys, town officials, members of academia, community advocates
and all members of law enforcement.Given the various programs
offered at POSTC, this position requires designing a working
environment that handles multiple projects at once with sensitive
deadlines and at times works under a state of urgency. The nature
