Job Description:
Q.C. Compliance/Documentation
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (For two facilities)
? Responsible for all compliances and certifications
? Primary contact (onsite and offsite) for all audits - organic,
food safety, FDA, Kosher, Non-GMO
? Create, comply and monitor all documentation and processes
? Directs all mock recalls
? Remain well-versed on all regulations of the food industry and
institute necessary changes needed to comply
? Attend and maintenance necessary certifications and manuals-
HACCP, GMPs, Food Safety and others as necessary
? Participate in Research and Development
? Supervision of three QC staff members
? Reports to Operations Manager
? Must be know the duties of the Q. C. Technician as follows:
Q.C. Technician's Duties
? Participate and report on pre-operational and operational audit
programs
? Prepare and collect samples for laboratory testing
? Perform line checks and all verification processes
? Verify all critical control points including all processes in
accordance with the facility's HACCP report and GMO programs
? Assist in monitoring finished product specifications, maintain
and report finished goods hold logs, monitor processes
? Perform essential food safety checks on prescribed frequency
? Carry out microbiological and chemical analytical tests on
finished goods, monitor micro levels environmental and equipment
surfaces
? Prepare pre-shipment approval reports
? Perform verification and monitoring of the HACCP, SSOP and GMP
programs along with other necessary paperwork
? Prepare and perform sensory evaluation of finished products
daily
? Check all production lines daily to give sensory and technical
directions to production to insure consistency of product quality
as necessary to establish regular ongoing quality performance on
production lines
? Perform evaluation of manufactured finished products
? Use technical equipment to verify the quality of in-process
production items as well as finished products
? Comply with all company policies and procedures
? Perform projects as instructed by the QC/QA Manager
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
? College Degree in related field
? Fluent oral and written English
? Experience in the food industry of minimum 3-5 years
? SQF certified is a plus
? Knowledge of GMPs, HACCP and FDA regulations
? Must be proficient in MS Office programs (Excel, Word, etc.)
? Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time
? Lift up to 25 lbs
? Team player
? Flexible shift hours - Monday to Friday
? Ability to work in cold and normal temperatures
? Strong skill level in mathematics and statistics
