JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Compliance/Community Standards
Officer Department: General Manager's Office Work Schedule: M-F,
8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Classification: Exempt, Full-time Pay Rate:
($27 - $32 per hour) Overview The Compliance/Community Standards
Officer is responsible for ensuring compliance with established
Board policies, residency rules and regulations, including use
restrictions, general rules, and architecture-related approvals and
violations. This role involves frequent communication with
residents and management of the enforcement process as defined by
the Villages governing documents for the Club, Association and
Homeowners corporations. The position also includes smoke and
carbon monoxide alarm compliance and conducting community-wide
inspections. This role provides essential support to the General
Manager's office and assists with special projects and general
customer service tasks. This position adheres to The Villages'

and well-maintained community environment. ESSENTIAL JOB
FUNCTIONS
- Administer the compliance program for The Villages' three
corporations-The Club, Association, and Homeowners Corporation,
which includes managing The Club Bylaws, Association and Homeowners
Corporation CC&Rs, rules, policies, architectural standards,
and procedures. Responsibilities include issuing compliance
notices, enforcing actions, and investigating complaints and rule
violations.
- Stay informed about governing documents and community rules and
assist the Public Safety and Board Services teams with enforcement
management, documentation, and administrative tasks.
- Conduct audits to ensure compliance with smoke and carbon
monoxide alarm regulations, maintain a log of violations, and
provide monthly reports to the General Manager's office.
- Support Public Safety and Board Services during hearings
related to policy, rule, and CC&R violations. Make
recommendations to the Board and assist with special projects
within the General Manager's office.
- Ensure compliance with residency transfer rules for real estate
agents, including signage and advertisement regulations.
- Maintain comprehensive records related to rule enforcement,
including the receipt and investigation of complaints, and document
all communications concerning enforcement matters.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Public Safety, Board
Services, and the Office of the General Manager to support
compliance and community standards.
- Oversee compliance with insurance requirements (H06 policies),
age certification surveys, and residency restriction guidelines as
outlined by California Civil Code. Conduct quarterly reviews of
live-in healthcare providers.
- Ensure adherence to approved estate sales and residence use
rules.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager's
office. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel,
and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with
discretion.
- Experience in customer service and community management.
- Capability to conduct audits and maintain detailed
records.
- Willingness to walk or drive throughout the community for
inspections.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Minimum
Qualifications:
- An associate degree from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of three years of experience in a customer service
environment with a proven record of success.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Valid driver's license with a clean DMV record. Working
Conditions:

- Good mobility with average bending and lifting
requirements.
- Ability to work/sit in front of a computer screen. Conditions

- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and criminal
history check.
