Job Description:
VA Northern California Health Care System is looking for
Ophthalmologist's to join our team of comprehensive and
subspecialist ophthalmologists in our Stockton Clinic. At the
Brand-New Stockton VA Clinic, your clinic will run the gamut of
comprehensive ophthalmology. Clinical management of general Cornea,
Glaucoma, and Retina disorders are required for this truly
comprehensive ophthalmology practice. Outstanding anterior segment
surgical skills are required. You will have the opportunity to
perform surgery with experienced eye nurses in the operating room
in your own OR time as well as training residents. Responsibilities
to include clinical care, resident supervision, and training in
both the outpatient and operating room settings.
We are affiliated with the UC Davis Hospital System, have state of
the art operating rooms and are a modern full-service hospital. We
serve as the sub-specialty referral center for eye conditions in
Northern California. There is dedicated technician support, on-site
lasers, LenStar, optometry, and an on-site optical shop. Other
onsite specialists include cornea, glaucoma and retina/vitreous. It
is a friendly, rewarding environment, with appreciative patients.
Academic appointments with UC Davis School of Medicine may be
available and opportunities for teaching and research abound.Work
Schedule:?Full-time, primarily day shift with home call or Mon-Fri
8a-4:30p; shared on-callBenefits: 26 days paid vacation (1 day
accrued each pay period upon employment); 13 days sick leave (1/2
day accrued each pay period upon employment, no cap); 11 paid
Federal holidays/Competitive Salary/Malpractice protection with
tail coverage covered by the Federal government/Annual Physician
Performance Pay (Up to $15,000 possible)/CME- 1 week paid
authorized absence to attend and after 1 year of employment $1,000
per year stipend toward CME if BC/No Physician Employment Contract
and no significant restriction on moonlightingIncentives: Education
Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) offers up to $200,000 over 5-years,
tax-free and/or Recruitment Incentive with minimum 3-year service
obligation.Candidates must: Candidate must be: 1) US Citizen or
PRA, 2) Board Eligible/Certified in Ophthalmology, 3) Have a full,
unrestricted medical license in any State, and 4) confirm
vaccination for seasonal influenza.?Compensation
Information:$345000.00 / Annually - $380000.00 / Annually
