beauty.The Opportunity:The VP, Loss Prevention will be responsible
for leading Sephora's Loss Prevention teams that support our 550+
Sephora stores throughout the US. This leader will develop
innovative loss prevention programs in close collaboration with our
store leadership in an effort to minimize shrink. This executive is
responsible for safeguarding Sephora's assets, ensuring the safety
of our Sephora employees and customers while ensuring that we
continue to deliver a world-class client experience. Working
closely with our store organization, local policymakers, and crime
deterrent task forces, this leader will set a vision and strategies
to minimize the financial losses of our Sephora inventory in-store.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in field
leadership and loss prevention where they have implemented new
initiatives impacting store operations procedures across 15,000+
employees. They will have experience driving operational
efficiencies across a country-wide network of stores in order to
protect assets and the client experience, while delivering on the
bottom line.Reporting to the SVP, Store Experience and Business
Operations, this highly visible executive will have tremendous
impact and influence throughout the organization and will present
to the Sephora Operating Committee periodically. The VP will lead a
team of 350+ Loss Prevention market-based team members that
directly support Sephora's field leadership and store teams. This
is a remote position requiring the candidate to live in a major
metro market with a major airport nearby. 50%-75% travel
required.Responsibilities:
- Manage a high performing, values-driven Loss Prevention
organization; achieve consistency, compliance, and performance
across a large group of market-based individuals.
- Oversee all security operations, including physical security,
surveillance systems, and emergency response protocols.
- Closely manage and mitigate all P&L financial impacts
related to shrink and formulate action plans and strategies to
achieve company and global budget targets.
- Lead and implement both short-term solutions and multi-year
strategy to ensure the protection of company assets, including
properties, inventory, and data, through robust security
measures.
- Design and execute loss prevention programs to reduce
shrinkage, theft, and fraud; partner with cross-functional teams
across the company and the stores organization to formulate,
implement, and measure all initiatives.
- Ensure all of Sephora's loss prevention programs not only
protect company assets but put the safety of our employees and
clients at the heart of everything we do.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal
regulations related to security and loss prevention.
- Understand investigation, policy violation, and compliance
trends across Sephora's US stores in order to identify opportunity
areas and develop action plans.
- Regularly assess all company policies and procedures
potentially impacting loss prevention and make recommendations for
ongoing revisions, improvements, and strategy shifts. Partner with
cross-functional teams to develop and align relevant Policies and
Procedures to Sephora's field organization.
- Analyze financial performance and KPIs related to security and
loss prevention initiatives in order to formulate key insights to
inform roadmapping and initiative strategies.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging threats,
recommending and implementing innovative solutions through
technology, programs, training, policies, and people.
- Partner with federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies
to develop and support key partnerships aimed at solving and
mitigating macro industry trends.
- Regularly share progress and insights with executive leadership
team on both financial performance and key initiatives.We would
love to hear from you if you meet the following:
- 10-15 years of experience in loss prevention, retail
operations, store leadership, or relevant field.
- 3-5 years experience leading a large, market-based employee
population.
- Demonstrated success leading a large market-based employee
population and gaining support for company-wide initiatives through
influencing, inspiring, and motivating new behaviors.
- A proven track record of being an inspiring leader known for
attracting, developing, and supporting a high performing team.
- Experience in Loss Prevention, Retail Operations, Store
Leadership, or relevant field.
- Understanding of general retail and Loss Prevention operations,
shrink levers, and P&L management.
- Ability to build effective, collaborative relationships with
key stakeholders to drive and execute loss prevention
strategies.
- Excellent negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills,
with a commitment to excellent customer service.
- Strategic and continuous improvement mindset, with a passion
for problem-solving.
- Ability to work effectively and cultivate strong relationships
across all levels of the organization.

- Availability outside of typical business hours as critical
emergencies arise.The annual base salary range for this position is
$287,000.00 - $297,000.00. The actual base salary offered depends
on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the
applicant's qualifications for the position; years of relevant
experience; specific and unique skills; level of education
attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other
legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the
position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives
and/or from which they will perform the job. Individuals employed
in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses. Sephora
