America.Summary:In this leadership role, you will be responsible
for developing and implementing the procurement and vendor
management strategy, ensuring cost-effective and efficient sourcing
of products and services. This role requires a proven track record
in negotiating and managing vendor contracts, optimizing vendor
relationships, and driving continuous improvement in procurement
processes.Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute the overall procurement and vendor
management strategy aligned with the company's goals and
objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business
requirements and align procurement strategies accordingly.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the procurement and vendor
management team.
- Vendor Relationship Management:
- Identify, evaluate, and select vendors based on performance,
quality, cost, and reliability.
- Cultivate and manage relationships with key vendors to ensure a
reliable and high-quality supply chain.
- Conduct regular vendor performance reviews and implement
improvement plans as needed.
- Contract Negotiation and Management:
- Lead negotiations for contracts, ensuring favorable terms and
conditions for the company.
- Review and draft contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and
regulatory requirements.
- Monitor contract performance and enforce terms as
necessary.
- Cost Management:
- Implement cost-saving initiatives and strategies to optimize
procurement processes.
- Analyze market trends and identify opportunities for cost
reduction without compromising quality.
- Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate potential risks related to procurement
activities.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies for the
business as it relates to vendor management and procurement.
- Process Optimization:
- Evaluate and improve existing procurement and vendor management
processes.
- Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and
effectiveness.
- Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company
policies.
- Stay informed about industry trends and changes in procurement
regulations.
- Team Development:
- Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing procurement and
vendor management team.
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.Required
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree
- 10+ years' experience in procurement and vendor management
roles, with a proven track record of strategic leadership
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal
skills
- In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, contract
management, and vendor relationship management
- Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations governing
procurement activities
- Demonstrated ability to drive cost savings and process
improvements
- Experience in a leadership role overseeing a procurement
team
- Certification in procurement (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is a
plusCompensation:$160,000 - $180,000/ AnnuallyAdditional
